It doesn’t just show what the purpose of the room is, but also who you are, whether it is your personal taste or your brand’s identity. And sometimes, what you already have feels tired and outdated and you itch to change it.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of heading out to a nearby retailer and buying something trendy, only to feel the same way a few weeks down the line. It doesn’t have to be that way. Our online consultations are designed to help you find your style and make small changes to an existing space so that it not only feels new, but you’ll love it for a long time.
Good design is attentive to details while never missing the bigger picture. It makes creative use of what is available, sometimes going beyond what the object was designed for, but looking like it was meant for that all along. Sometimes, though, moving furniture around isn’t enough. For a full renovation (or new design), we offer our boutique design services.
While at present we may not be able to accommodate projects with significant architectural modifications in-house, these services are designed to take the hassle of a big design project off your hands. Think of going shopping for a wedding gown, and being seated on a comfortable sofa, relaxing with a glass of bubbly while the shop assistant looks for the dress. That’s how we want you to feel when working with Laurel and Yew.
Both the online consultations and the boutique design services begin with the form on our Contact Us page. This allows us to be prepared for the first meeting, during which we get a feeling for the project and what you would like.
The next step for the online consultation clients is the contract and fee (we offer a range of fixed packages, if none fits your requirements we can accommodate within our boutique design services). For boutique design services, the client will receive a full proposal ahead of the contract. The design process has already begun, but work will start once the contract is signed.
Details of the process that depend on the specifications of the job itself will be available to prospective clients during the initial consultation, which is why we require as many details as possible when first getting in touch. It may seem like a chore, but it will save you time at a later stage and make the first meeting more efficient.
